Brilliantine / Vainglory

This Dave Derby’s first project after the Dambuilders, in fact I think they were still together so this was more of a Ram type project. I met Claudia Gonson from the Magnetic Fields sometime in 1997, maybe, I can’t recall what it was for, but I do recall that she gave me a pre release cassette of this. Not too long after I was sporting my infamous sleeveless yellow fleece playing keyboards in Brilliantine. Goodbye To St Bishop’s Park may still be may favourite Derby tune.
